Welcome to our cattery’s website. We breed a small number of traditional British Blue Shorthairs. We occasionally give strong, well-socialised kittens over to responsible hands. We would now like to invite you to go on a little tour of our homepage - have fun and we hope you will have an interesting few minutes...
From 01/07/2008 some kittens will be looking for a new home!
Update: 24/05/2008. All our little cuddly kittens are now seven weeks old and they are coming along brilliantly. Next week they will have to have their first immunisation.
Update: 18/05/2008. The kittens are now eating solid food and are nearly house-trained already. A few small technical issues on the website have been fixed.
Update: 03/05/2008. New photos have been added to the gallery and some text has been brought up to date. The kittens are now starting to play and are just getting cuter and cuter.
Our little home-page has been online now since 20/04/2008. The five "little balls of cuteness" have also opened their eyes.
During the night of 03/04/2008, our beloved cat "Bijou von Bergstroem" gave birth to five wonderful kittens in her litter. There are two females and three males, all of them are blue. (BRI a)
The FIFé standard states that British Shorthairs (BRI) must have a stout, cobby body with a strong bone structure. Their chest should be broad with perfectly proportionate short, strong, muscular shoulders. A broad neck and short, thick tail completes the overall appearance of the cat. The head must have full cheeks and small, wide-set ears. The eyes should be wide, round and intensely coloured. The nose must be short but not flat. The coat should be short and thick with a velvety feel.
The British Shorthair (BRI) is not related to the Chartreux (CHA) which is an entirely seperate breed.
Here you will find the most recent photos of our cute kittens and of course their wonderful father "EC Bosse von Harvest Moon" (BRI a) and their dear mum "Bijou von Bergstroem" (BRI a). Click on the picture to open a gallery where you can find out the names of our kittens.
